Amazonite and Goldstone Necklace

Blue-green amazonite is combined with goldstone beads carved as scarabs, and accented with aqua glass pearls.
Light on the neck and visually stunning!
The Inspiration:
I like trying out different combinations of colors; I began with the amazonite, which reminded me of an oasis. The goldstone scarabs seemed like a natural 'fit', and I was trying to imitate some of the colors I've seen in Ancient Egyptian art.
The beads were first combined with wire, and then linked together.
