Labradorite & Pearl Necklace

Legend has it that an ancient warrior in the far North wrestled with and captured the Aurora, and imprisoned her within a glacier. The colors of the polar night sky still reflect within this gemstone, Labradorite.
Three large oval labradorite beads are linked to freshwater cultured pearls with gold-plated wire.
The reflection on the gemstones in the photo is not from the light illuminating the scene, but the "flash" within the gemstone. The "flash" is excellent in all three beads (they were combined for that reason); some are copper-colored, others are in the blue-green range.
It is finished with mother-of-pearl beads and a fancy leaf toggle clasp.
